PactPilot Terms of Service

PactPilot is an AI communication assistant for freelancers. The Service can analyze client messages, screenshots, contract text, and project context, then generate communication suggestions, tone options, and draft replies.

PactPilot is designed to support communication decisions. It does not replace your own judgment.

PactPilot is not a law firm and does not provide legal, financial, tax, accounting, or professional advice.

Contract-related analysis, clause summaries, risk labels, and draft responses are provided for communication support only. You are responsible for reviewing all outputs before relying on them or sending them to a client. For legal or professional decisions, consult a qualified professional.

AI-generated output may be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, or inappropriate for your specific situation. You are responsible for:

• Reviewing and editing all generated content.
• Confirming facts, contract terms, amounts, names, dates, and obligations.
• Deciding whether a reply is suitable for your client relationship.
• Ensuring your use of the Service complies with applicable laws and agreements.

We do not guarantee any client response, payment outcome, negotiation result, legal outcome, or business result.

The initial version of PactPilot does not require you to create a PactPilot account.

Access to free features and Pro subscription entitlements may be managed through the app, your device, and the relevant app marketplace. If we introduce account creation in the future, we may update these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

PactPilot may offer a free version and a paid Pro subscription. Some features require a paid subscription or in-app purchase.

Subscriptions are billed through Apple In-App Purchase and are subject to Apple's payment terms. Pro subscription pricing, renewal periods, free trials, and available plans are shown in the app before purchase.

Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period, or as otherwise described by Apple. You can manage or cancel subscriptions through your Apple account settings.

We do not control Apple's refund process. Refund requests should be made through Apple unless otherwise required by law.

"User Content" means messages, screenshots, documents, contract text, project details, prompts, feedback, and other information you submit to the Service.

You retain ownership of your User Content. You grant PactPilot a limited license to host, process, transmit, analyze, display, and use User Content as needed to provide, secure, maintain, and improve the Service.

You represent that you have the rights and permissions needed to submit User Content to the Service.

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for unlawful, harmful, deceptive, or abusive purposes.
• Submit content you do not have the right to use.
• Upload malware, harmful code, or content intended to disrupt the Service.
• Attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, overload, or interfere with the Service.
• Use the Service to generate spam, harassment, fraud, or illegal content.
• Misrepresent AI-generated output as professional legal advice from PactPilot.
• Use the Service in a way that violates another person's rights.

PactPilot and its software, design, trademarks, logos, and content are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

These Terms do not grant you ownership of PactPilot's intellectual property.

Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect and use information. By using the Service, you agree that we may process information as described in the Privacy Policy.

The Service may rely on third-party providers for hosting, analytics, AI processing, payments, crash reporting, or other functionality. Your use of third-party services may be subject to their own terms and policies.

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. We may also change features, pricing, availability, or access rules, subject to applicable law and App Store requirements.

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, create risk, misuse the Service, or if required by law.

After termination, certain sections of these Terms will continue to apply, including sections relating to ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnity.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or that AI-generated content will be accurate or suitable for your needs.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PactPilot will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, lost business, or client disputes arising from or related to your use of the Service.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for all claims related to the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid to us for the Service in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) USD $100.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability, so some limitations may not apply to you.

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless PactPilot from claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising from your User Content, your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of law or third-party rights.

If you download PactPilot through the Apple App Store, your use of the app may also be subject to Apple's terms, including the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions and any applicable standard Apple end user license agreement if we do not provide a custom EULA.

Apple is not responsible for providing support or maintenance for the Service, except as required by applicable law.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated Terms and update the effective date. If changes are material, we may provide additional notice.
